F.S.R Legia motorsport was set up in Prague by Frank Rakous who is a BIG mini enthusiast and has been for over 29 years. In this time he has had many Minis and he currently owns a Mk1 Rally Cooper ‘S 1293cc Works Replica, a 1992 Mini Cooper, a Mk3 Mini 1000 and a 1985 MG Metro Turbo. He is also a big fan of Historic rallies which he competes in with a Skoda Octavia and BMW 2002Tii.

Whilst building his Works Replica he found it increasingly difficult to get hold of Competition and S/T rally parts & components so he decided the answer to this problem was to make his own parts. A lot of his reproduction parts are completely hand made but this meant that Frank could pay real attention to detail and give the parts a real ‘period’ feel.

Frank soon found his reproduction Works and obsolete parts were in demand and the range of parts soon increased as requests came in from the U.K. Japan, Australia and many other countries around the world.

The parts are made from an assortment of materials to give each item that genuine period feel. The most commonly used items are aluminium, leather effect materials, balsa wood, felt etc.

Frank also specialises in second hand Halda instruments such as Tripmaster, Twinmaster, Speedpilot and associated ancillaries. If you’re looking for period authentic stop watches then look no further.

Some parts are custom made to suit the clients specification. For example Frank now produces 2 types of PEA-Lights, Flat Head types (brass, duralumin, chemical black, chromium & nickel coated) and Grooved Head types (duralumin, chemical black & chromium).
